This afternoon's challenge cup final was won by the Ayr Scottish Eagles by a margin of five goals to none.

The ISL would like to apologies for the behaviour of the Ayr players in not allowing the Belfast Giants to win the game. The ISL had played its part by moving the final to Belfast to give the Giants home ice advantage. BBC Northern Ireland even paid for the rights to the "Giants Win Again" Cup.

After careful consideration the ISL Chief Executive Ian Taylor issued the following statement


The ISL will meet on Thursday March 7th to decide how best to help Belfast win the play off final in Nottingham
